Fateha offered for souls of FC & Levies personnels: BA approves joint resolution condemning recent acts of terrorism in Balochistan
Provincial Assembly adopts draft laws of Balochistan Tax on Land & Agricultural Income and Civil Servants
QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly adopted joint resolution condemning the recent acts of terrorism in different parts of the province.
The resolution was tabled by the Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi in the session while the Deputy Speaker Ms. Ghazala Gola was in the chair here on Monday.
According to the content of resolution, the entire House condemns the incidents of terrorism in the province.
He said that the people of Balochistan are standing with the Pak Army and would not let nefarious designs of the enemies succeed.
On a point, the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that we are insisting that the House may be run according to the rule of business. He also said that we want to speak on the law and order situation and about all departments in the House. However, the discussion on law and order should be in camera. He also urged to form a committee for the departments devolved to the province from federation.
Besides, the Assembly adopted the draft law of the Balochistan Tax on Land and Agriculture Income in the session.
Similarly, the Provincial Assembly also approved the Balochistan Civil Servants’ draft act.
The draft act of the Balochistan Tax on Land and Agricultural Income was tabled by the Provincial Minister for Revenue, Mir Muhammad Asim Kurd while the other draft law of Balochistan Civil Servants was presented by the Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani.
The Member Provincial Assembly, Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch opposed the draft law of Tax on Land and Agricultural Income saying that it is being imposed on insistence of IMF.
He said that the Provincial Minister Mir Sadiq Umrani had told in the House that the draft law would not be tabled.
Meanwhile, a resolution was approved against the alleged misbehaviour with the transporters of Balochistan at the check posts in Punjab.
The resolution was tabled by the Provincial Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar.
Earlier, fateha was offered for the departed souls of personnels of Frontier Corps (FC) and Levies martyred in terrorists attacks in Kalat and Darabun respectively.
Later, the session was adjourned till 03:00 PM on February 6, 2025.
