Prime Minister pays whirlwind visit to Quetta
QUETTA: The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif paid whirlwind visit to the provincial metropolis on Monday.
The Prime Minister arrived in Quetta at around 11:00 AM. Also accompanied with him were the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister Energy and Water, Awais Leghari, Minister Information, Attaullah Tarar and other high ups.
The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti along with the provincial ministers, members of assembly, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Inspector General of Police welcomed the Prime Minister upon his arrival at the Quetta airport.
Soon after his arrival, Prime Minister proceeded to Combined Military Hospital where he inquired about the health of personnel of security forces who got injured in the operation against terrorists in Kalat on Saturday night.
He met the injured personnel being treated at CMH and paid tributes to them on their bravery against terrorists.
Later, he presided over crucial meeting on law and order and security situation in Balochistan, at the CM’s secretariat the same afternoon.
He also had meetings with the Governor, Chief Minister and provincial leadership and discussed with them different important matters.
Later, he left for Islamabad the same afternoon.
