Deputy Commissioner Oversees Polio Vaccination Drive in Usta Muhammad
Usta Muhammad, February 5: Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad, Arshad Hussain Jamali, conducted a thorough review of the polio vaccination teams operating in various areas on the third day of the polio campaign.
Jamali obtained detailed information about the administration of polio drops and scrutinized the teams’ records. He emphasized the significance of the polio workers’ role in protecting children from polio, urging them to fulfill their responsibilities diligently to ensure a polio-free society.
The Deputy Commissioner warned that even minor negligence could put the new generation at risk of contracting polio, a debilitating disease. He also appealed to parents to cooperate with the polio teams visiting their homes, as they work tirelessly to prevent lifelong disabilities in children.
The polio vaccination drive is part of the government’s efforts to eradicate polio, a highly contagious viral disease that can cause paralysis or even death. The campaign aims to vaccinate all children under the age of five against the polio virus.
