Governor praise’s role of Intl. institutions & NGOs for empowering people by imparting administrative training
QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has praised the role of international institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) saying that they have empowered the people of remote and backward areas of the province by learning them the modern skills and imparting administrative training of running institutions to them for improving their lives by enabling to earn at their own.
The Governor appreciated the whole team of Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP) for establishing Center of Excellence in the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) with financial assistance of German Government.
The inauguration ceremony of the Center of Excellence would be held at Governor House very soon.
He said that the public approach and international procedure is the hallmark of BRSP.
The Governor was speaking to the Chairman, BRSP, Malik Saleem Kasi and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Tahir Rasheed who called on him the other day.
The Governor said that the private institutions of international standard are on the course of producing producers instead of the consumers in society. This means, they are creating sense of catching fish and eating it to others.
He said that being government, we appreciate the role and invaluable public services of all institutions of UN and NGOs in the province.
He acknowledged their endeavours for developing infrastructure in the remote districts describing the same very important.
He said that the government is determined to support them for making the lives of people easier.
He also said that the cooperation of BRSP has been remarkable in remote areas of the province.
He said that the billions of funds are being utilised for welfare of the poor people.
He said that it is a fact that NGOs have been in the forefront at the time of natural disasters. They have worked for providing opportunities of livelihood to the people as well as rehabilitation of environmental system, promotion of health and education in the province.
