Implementation continues on three more scholarship schemes on directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti

QUETTA: As part of the revolutionary steps being taken under leadership of Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti for promotion of education, in all 33,466 students were awarded the academic scholarships in different categories under Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEFF) during one year period in the province.

According to the official handout issued here the other day, these (33,466) students were awarded the scholarships of worth Rs. 2.98 billion since February 2024.

Under the Regular Scholarships of BEEF, 31,077 male and female students from 9th class to M.Phil and M.S Programmes were given the scholarships of Rs. 2.04 billion during one year.

Similarly, Rs. 500 million were distributed among 1465 students through fully funded BS Level Scholarship Progrmame of the BEEF.

Moreover, the toppers of Matriculation and Intermediate Examinations of all districts of Balochistan were given the scholarships of Rs. 270 million under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Programme.

Under the Scholarship Programme for children of martyrs, 351 students were given scholarships of Rs. 40 million.

Similarly, 47 transgender students and 28 minorities’ students were given Rs. 10 million and Rs. 6 million respectively under the Scholarship Fund.

Under the Law Endowment Fund, 8 students were provided Rs. 120 million so that they may get higher education.

In addition to this, implementation is continued on three more scholarship schemes, on directives of the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

Rs. 95 million has been allocated for 108 students in the higher cadet colleges of the country under Cadet Excellence Programme while on the other hand, complete funding of Rs. 80 millions is being given for 100 students in Sadiq Public School.

Under Ph.D Scholarship Programme, the budget of Rs. 450 million has been allocated for 10 students who are desirous of seeking education in prestigious universities of the world.
