99 pc target of vaccination achieved during anti-polio campaign in Balochistan

QUETTA: The 99 percent target of the seven-day anti-polio vaccination campaign was achieved in Balochistan.
According to the sources of Emergency Operation Center (EOC) for Polio Eradication, the anti-polio campaign campaign was run in the province from February 3 to 9.
It may be mentioned here that over 2.6 million children were to be administered the anti-polio vaccine during the campaign.
For the purpose, over 11,000 teams were formed in the province. The EOC sources said that the data of refusals to the polio vaccine is being compiled. It may also be mentioned here that the polio virus has been detected in environmental samples of eight districts of Balochistan.
