Administrative secretaries to visit centers: Annual Matric Examinations begins in Balochistan today
Over 400 Examination Centers set up where over 140,000 candidates to appear; Section 144 enforced in and in surrounding areas of examination centers
QUETTA: The annual examinations of Matriculation (Secondary School Certificate) is scheduled to begin in Balochistan from today (Tuesday).
According to the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Quetta, over 400 examination centers have been set up for the Matric examinations. In these examinations, more than 140,000 candidates are appearing from all over the province.
According to the official sources, while the administrative officers including Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Tehsildars and others would monitor the examinations at the district level, the administrative secretaries and special secretaries would visit the examination centers too.
This is aimed at preventing cheating in the examinations, the sources of BISE Quetta told.
On the other hand, the Section 144 has also been enforced in and in surrounding of the examination centers all over the province.
It may be mentioned here that the Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan has already issued standing directives to ensure zero tolerance policy against cheating in the examinations.
