Anti-Narcotics Force Launches Crackdown on Drug Smuggling Near Educational Institutions

Islamabad, Feb 10: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide crackdown on drug smuggling near educational institutions, arresting 9 suspects and seizing over 107.2 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 11 crore.

The ANF conducted 9 operations in various cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Peshawar. In Islamabad, the ANF seized 2.4 kilograms of charas near a park on F-8, 100 grams of ice and 48 intoxicating tablets near the Khanna Pull Expressway, and 500 grams of charas near a college.

In Rawalpindi, the ANF seized 70 intoxicating tablets near a university. The arrested suspects confessed to selling narcotics to students near educational institutions.

In other operations, the ANF seized 10.750 kilograms of ice from a parcel being sent to Australia via a courier office in Karachi, 2.850 kilograms of ice from a passenger’s luggage at Peshawar International Airport, and 63 kilograms of heroin from an area in Qilla Saifullah, Balochistan.
