The Institute of Forest Sciences University of Swat concluded a three-day international conference, the theme of the conference was to find effective and sustainable solutions to the problems of forests under the current climate change. Three hundred people, including domestic and foreign researchers, participated in the conference. The conference began on February 4, 2025.

The inaugural function of the conference was presided over by Syed Safdar Ali Shah (Chief Conservator KPK). Technical sessions were held after the inauguration ceremony. On the second day, the technical sessions held on February 5, 2025 were chaired by Prof. Dr. Hasan Sher Rais, University of Swat. Moreover, he said that such research and academic activities will continue so that our students can benefit from them.  . Sher Shah, the organizer of the conference, said that the institution has strengthened the topic of forests by organizing the international conference. . The closing ceremony of the conference was held on 6th February 2025 at PC Hotel Malam Jubba where prizes were distributed among the guests, organizers and other students.
