According to a as per the order issued by Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand, Sher Akbar, was instructed to appear before Javed Iqbal at the Kabal court to discuss the issues faced by police personnel and to resolve their problems. Upon arrival at the police line in Kabal, RPO and Malakand were warmly welcomed by the District Police Officer (DPO) and other officials, with a police unit saluting them. The RPO and Malakand officials also visited the Martyrs Memorial, laid a bouquet of flowers, and offered prayers for the high ranks of the fallen police officers.
The police officers and jawans thanked the officials, including DPO Swat Nasir Mahmood, for listening to their concerns. Officers from various districts within the Malakand Division, including DPOs from Buner and Lower Dir, participated in the court. During the session, police officers presented issues such as transfers, promotions, police welfare, medical bills, and other concerns. The RPO and Malakand officials assured that immediate steps would be taken to resolve the pressing issues, while other concerns would be addressed as soon as possible.
In his address, RPO Malakand Sher Akbar expressed gratitude to the police officers and personnel for their participation. He highlighted the sacrifices made by Malakand police officers, who had faced extremely challenging situations in recent years, with many sacrificing their lives and others being injured. He commended the police force’s dedication, which had led to the restoration of peace and tranquility in the region, allowing the people of Malakand to live without fear.
Sher Akbar also emphasized the importance of the police’s relationship with the local community and tourists, stating that the sincere and approachable attitude of Malakand police had earned them great respect and admiration. Furthermore, he addressed welfare issues such as medical bills, children’s education, and support for police personnel’s families, requesting that applications for assistance be submitted to DPOs and doctors.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the nation’s integrity, followed by chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Paindabad.” The RPO reaffirmed his commitment to resolving the problems of the police officers and jawans in Malakand Division.
