Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Peshawar Region Information Secretary Engineer Adil Nawaz has said that despite the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has achieved significant achievements through better utilization of resources, administrative efficiency, transparency, and financial discipline. Regarding the one-year performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur (2024-25),In a statement he said that the budget surplus target for the fiscal year 2025 is Rs 100 billion. Surplus of Rs 169 billion was achieved in 6 months, which is much higher than the target. 46% increase in tax and 55% in non-tax revenue. 50% increase in total revenue. Regarding the rectification of past administrative problems, Rs 70 billion: allocated for “Debt Retirement Fund”. Rs 600 billion: Expenditures made, no liability left behind. All payments made on time. Rs 7 billion: Health card obligations fulfilled. Rs 78.6 billion: Fulfilled the obligations of TMAs, WSSCs, and universities. Rs 14 billion increase in revenue. 90.7% revenue target achieved. 200% increase in mineral royalty. Rs 10 billion: Cess on exports and Afghan trade transit. Rs 100 billion: Provincial revenue target. 35% increase in development funds. Rs 20 billion: Direct purchase of wheat. Rs 15 billion: Ehsaas program. Rs 3 billion: Brit subsidy. Rs 300 billion: Pension, gratuity, and loan funds. 36% of the budget allocated for health and education. Rs 5.4 billion: Mineral and mine royalty. Rs 30.4 billion: Allocation for health card. Rs 4 billion: Repair of transformers. Rs 10.9 billion: Purchase of medicines. Rs 9 billion: Free textbooks. Steps taken for better collection of local taxes. Scope of services tax expanded. Infrastructure Development Cess was implemented. Increase in agricultural land and property tax. Increase in fines and penalties. Tax rates were made effective. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, in accordance with the vision of party founder Imran Khan, these achievements of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government provide a strong foundation for the development of the province and the welfare of the people.
