Provincial Minister Directs Engineers to Restore Canals for Green Belt Development
Nasirabad. Feb. 18. Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Mir Muhammad Sadique Umrani, has emphasized the importance of restoring the Pat Feeder Canal, Kirthar Canal, and Kachhi Canal to ensure fair distribution of water to farmers and cultivators. He stressed that engineers must work tirelessly to maintain these canals, which are crucial for the development of Balochistan’s Green Belt ¹.
Umrani made these remarks while chairing a high-level meeting of the Irrigation Department. The meeting was attended by Provincial Secretary Irrigation Hafiz Abdul Majid, Chief Engineer Canals Naseer Mujeeb, Superintending Engineer Irrigation Circle Nasirabad Ghulam Sarwar Bangluzai, and Project Director Pat Feeder Canal Remodeling Samiullah, among others.
The minister highlighted the need for fair distribution of water to all farmers and cultivators connected to these canals. He also emphasized the importance of addressing issues related to the remodeling of the Pat Feeder Canal and ensuring the availability of water for crops throughout Balochistan.
