The seminar held at Ansi College Mardan campus featured insightful lectures by Professor Dr. Shams Ali Baig, Imdadullah and Zarak Khan, Department of Environment, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. They created awareness among the students and guests about climate change, its impacts, and the importance of collective action and individual responsibility in mitigating its impacts. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Vice Chancellor of Sarhad University Peshawar, attended as the chief guest. He stressed the urgent need for collective action against climate change and highlighted the importance of individual and collective responsibility in mitigating its impacts. A tree plantation ceremony was also held at the event, where Professor Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman and the students planted trees on the campus. This symbolic gesture initiated a large-scale tree planting campaign, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and creating awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change. Abdul Aziz Khan, Member Syndicate, Women’s University Mardan, faculty members, students and distinguished guests actively participated in the seminar and tree planting campaign.
