Mardan: Feb 18. Commissioner Mardan Division Nisar Ahmed visited the under-construction Girls Cadet College with Principal GCCM Tahira Muzammil, here on Tuesday.

Commissioner Mardan Division Nisar Ahmed has directed the concerned authorities to complete the construction work of the priority blocks of the under-construction building of Girls Cadet College Mardan by the month of April this year so that the students can move to the new building from the next session. He was talking to the concerned authorities and later to the media during his visit to the under-construction building of the college in Jamra Takht Bhai.
Principal of the college Tahira Muzammil, Superintending Engineer C&W Shafiqur-ur-Rehman, Executive Engineer Shahzad Waseem, Divisional Monitoring Officer and other concerned authorities were also present on the occasion.
Commissioner Mardan made a detailed visit to the under-construction academic block and hostels including the priority blocks of the college and reviewed the construction work. Xian C&W said that more than Rs 1.8 billion has been spent on the construction of this college spread over an area of 241 kanals, while Rs 300 million has been released for the completion of priority blocks. He said that the construction of priority blocks will be ensured by the end of April.
Principal Tahira Muzammil said that the establishment of Girls Cadet College Mardan reflects the provincial government’s commitment to the promotion of women’s education. Appreciating the educational standard of Girls Cadet College Mardan, she said that the new building will provide better facilities for classes, hostels and sports for the female students, which will enable them to receive education and training in a better environment. She said that special attention has also been paid to the security of the college and a network of CCTV cameras is also being established in it along with security packets.
