QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet has approved the Digital Land Settlement and new Policy of Fisheries and Water Agriculture in its meeting held on Thursday.
The cabinet also approved the Balochistan Water Resources Management Bill in order to ensure correct use of water resources in the province.
The Cabinet met with Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in the chair with all its members, advisors and parliamentary secretaries.
The provincial cabinet accorded approval to certain important issues in the crucial meeting.
As per the decision made in the cabinet meeting, all record of the land would be computerized under the Digital Land Settlement.
The cabinet also expressed consensus on giving relief to the zamindars in provincial tax on the agricultural production.
In addition to this, the cabinet also decided to make effective legislation for shifting the agricultural tube wells on solar energy.
The cabinet also approved Balochistan Disposal of Motor Vehicles Rules 2025. It was also decided to release additional grant for rehabilitation of the cadet college established in Jaffarabad.
Moreover, the cabinet decided to ensure better use of the infrastructure of available for the educational development in the province.
The cabinet also approved establishment of the laboratory of Balochistan Food Authority. The cabinet also approved declaring Tehsil Dera Bugti as “A” area.
Besides, the cabinet formed a committee for selling the wheat purchased by the Food department in the open market.
The cabinet decided to establish two new police stations in Jaffarabad district.
The necessary amendments in the right to information act were also approved in the cabinet meeting.
Similarly, appointment of a judge for the Anti-Terrorism Court was also approved. Meanwhile, the cabinet approved funds of Rs. 65 million for the Public Health Engineering. It was decided to expedite the pace of development projects.
