Kohat: February 20. DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION KOHAT HOLDS KULI KATCHERY IN REMOTE AREA CHORLAKKI
District Administration Kohat has held a Kuli Katchery under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Program “Awami Agenda” chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram, in Chorlaki area of Tehsil Gumbat on Thursday.
Former Federal Interior Minister and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shahryar Afridi MNA and Mayor Tehsil Gumbat Sajid Iqbal specially participated in the Katchery. The officers of district administration, heads of line departments, elders of the area and common people from the surrounding suburbs also participated in it.
On this occasion, elected representatives, social workers and local elders presented in detail the problems and difficulties faced by the people at the local level. Most of the problems and grievances of the people were related to the electricity overbilling, load-shedding, shortage of teachers in schools, upgradation of schools, shortage of staff in hospitals, communication, irrigation and drinking water sectors.
Referring to the problems and difficulties presented by the people in the Katchery, Shahryar Afridi MNA and Deputy Commissioner Kohat said that the Kuli Katchery is an important and useful forum of the current government for solving public problems at the local level. Therefore, in order to make it effective, all the officers should give priority to the implementation of the instructions received in this regard so that the people who are suffering from problems can get relief.
Expressing their anger at the absence of some important and responsible officers in the Katchery, they warned that this attitude of the officers is totally intolerable, so they should mend their way otherwise strict measures will be taken. They assured that concerted efforts will be made to solve the problems. They further assured that none of the problems presented here will remain unsolved. Every department and institution is bound to solve the problems within the fixed deadline. Strict action will be taken in case of violation of the order. they concluded.
