Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labuor, Fazal Shakur Khan, distributed certificates and toolkits to men and women flood affectees of district Charsadda who completed various development skills training under the Sarhad Rural Support Program (SRSP). A grand ceremony in this regard held at the SRSP Peshawar, where the provincial minister, along with representatives from CESVI, Concern Worldwide, and FCDO, participated.

Earlier, the provincial minister visited various stalls displaying with handmade items prepared by men and women trainees of the course.

The provincial minister highly appreciated this significant initiative by SRSP.

Addressing the ceremony, the provincial minister emphasized the importance of acquiring technical education and said that in the current era, technical education is essential, especially for women, so women can run their businesses with dignity within their homes.

He appreciated the handmade items by the trainees and said that these items would be highly appreciated in the market. He added that steps need to be taken to introduce these handmade items to the market.

He further said that the flood-affected trainees, who completed various courses under the SRSP, would play an essential role in supporting their families through these skills. A total of 720 men and women successfully completed training in various courses, including leather bag making, Ada work, mobile repairing, and solar installation. Women trainees from Charsadda district were also present at the ceremony.
