Kohat. February 22: DISTRICT ADMN KOHAT HOLDS KULI KATCHERY FOR TRADERS.
The district Administration Kohat has under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Program “Awami Agenda”, held the first ever Kuli Katchery of its kind for the local traders at Tehsil Plaza Kohat on Friday evening. The Katchery was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram while specifically participated by Sheryar Afridi MNA and Shafi Jan MPA as Chief Guests beside the officers of the district administration and Police, heads of Line Departments, Presidents of Markets, Reps of Traders and elders.
On this occasion, the president of the bazaar, Ameer Khan Afridi welcomed the guests and thanked them for organizing the Katchery for traders. The participants openly presented their problems, most of which were related to the district administration, TMA, WSSC, electricity, gas, clean water, drainage, lease and security. The performance of the WSSC, TMA, Halal Food Authority, Industries and Sports Departments was severely criticized by the traders.
Referring to the problems and difficulties presented here, MNA Shehryar Afridi, MPA Shafi Jan and Deputy Commissioner Kohat said that all the problems presented will be considered sympathetically and all the government departments and institutions will be reformed. They said, respect of every citizen of Kohat is dearer to them and will not allow any government officer or official to misbehave or disrespect the citizens. They assured that a follow-up Katchery within a month will be arranged again to apprise the business community of the progress on the issues presented here.
Shahryar Afridi has strictly directed the police to carry out the crack down on the criminals, various mafias and vulgarity without any further delay. He declared that recruitment/posting from the other districts on Class IV posts will not be allowed at all. Likewise, making domicile of people outside Kohat will also be reviewed, he concluded.
