Governor urges rulers & political elders to play wholehearted role in finding peaceful solution of present tense situation
QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has urged the rulers and political elders to play their wholehearted role in finding the peaceful solution of the present tense situation.
The Governor said that the sustainable solution to the complex issues of Balochistan requires from us the serious joint decisions. He said that the economic and political matters affecting the people of province can be progressed through mutual understanding.
He said that representation of Balochistan especially raising voice of the youth at every level in policy and decision making is top condition.
The Governor was speaking to the Patron-in-Chief of Balochistan Think Tank Network, Brigadier (Retd) Agha Ahmed Gul who called on him at Governor House on Monday.
He said that we couldn’t fully benefit from our intellectuals and researchers due to non-existence of political and knowledgeable think tank and lack of the research centers in the province.
He said that the opportunities of trade and economic development can be provided to the tribals settled near the bordering areas despite certain challenges being faced.
He stressed the need to prepare comprehensive strategy and develop successful models for the economic easiness of our people besides coping with the challenges.
He said that sustainable peace and prosperity of Pakistan is linked with the peace and prosperity of Balochistan. We should take steps in the interest of our country and people immediately, just because we can’t afford more hatred and conflicts, adding he stressed.
The Governor on the occasion emphasized upon making planning for learning our youth modern skills along with science and education in order to meet the international requirements.
He said that we have basic resources and necessary facilities in abundance and we can steer our province from the severe poverty and unemployment.
In the end, Brigadier (Retd) Agha Gul presented gift of books based on the modern research regarding politics, economy and geography of the province.
