Mardan: Feb 25. District police officer (DPO) Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi meets with scholars, discusses elimination of social evils and promotion of patience and brotherhood during Ramadan.
As per details on Tuesday,DPO Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi held a special meeting with scholars belonging to every school of thought, in which detailed discussions were held regarding elimination of social evils, reformation of the people and promotion of patience, tolerance and brotherhood during Ramadan.
On this occasion, DPO Mardan termed the role of scholars as very important and said that scholars can best guide the people through their pulpits and mihrabs and can advise them to follow peace, love and Islamic teachings.
Serious issues like murder, attempted murder, long-standing enmities, drugs, aerial firing, usury and intolerance were discussed in the meeting and mutual cooperation between scholars and police was emphasized to eliminate them.
The scholars expressed their resolve that they would render their services for the promotion of patience, brotherhood, peace and Islamic values during the holy month of Ramadan, so that the feelings of love, peace and goodwill develop among the people.
DPO Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi said on the occasion that Mardan Police stands with the scholars in every step that will be taken for the eradication of social evils and public reform.
Finally, all the participants offered special prayers for the security, peace, brotherhood and stability of Pakistan.
