The public is informed that the chances of landslides, overflowing of rivers and canals and slippery roads have increased in different areas due to the recent rains. Take the following precautionary measures to protect yourself and your loved ones:
Prevention of floods and landslides
Avoid going to rivers and canals and riverbanks.
Check the weather conditions before traveling in mountainous areas.
Do not travel unnecessarily in landslide-prone areas.
Make proper drainage arrangements around houses.
Precautions while traveling in the rain
Avoid unnecessary travel, especially at night.
Keep your speed low while driving and use fog lights.
Avoid driving a car or motorcycle on water-logged roads.
Electricity and other safety measures:
Stay away from electrical appliances and poles during rain.
Avoid standing in open spaces or taking shelter under trees.
