ABBOTTABAD- City of Abbottabad and its adjoining hilly areas of Galiyats and Galiyats received snow fall while Abbottabad received heavy rain which started late night of Wednesday and till evening of Thursday, it was raining with fluent intervals while drizzle and cold breezy winds has brought temperature to freezing point. One feet snow has been reported in Thandiyani and at least nine inch snow in Galiyats including Donga Gali, Changla Gali, Ayubia, and Bara Gali.

Snow removing machinery of GDA was clearing snow from the main Abbottabad Muree road and the entire main and link roads were cleared by the GDA and Rescue 11122.

Traffic police and staff of 1122helped the stranded tourists and recovered their vehicles safely. Further snow fall was expected in the area.
