Head of Meghwar Panchayat Daharki Visits Hyderabad and Karachi – Important Meetings for Community Development
Karachi– The head of the Meghwar Panchayat, Dadan Arshi, along with his delegation, conducted an important visit to Hyderabad and Karachi, where he met political and social leaders to discuss the rights, development, and welfare of the Meghwar community.
During the visit, the delegation met with PPP MPA Dr. Khato Mal Jeewan, PPP Media Cell Coordinator Surendar Valasai, PPP Ghotki District President Mir Babar Ali Khan Lund, and prominent social leader Akash Santurai. The discussions focused on fundamental issues faced by the community, including infrastructure, education, employment, and healthcare facilities.
In a meeting held at the Circuit House in Karachi, Dadan Arshi expressed concern over the continuous neglect of the Meghwar community, stating that despite having 20,000 votes in Ghotki district, the community has not received development projects accordingly. Dr. Khato Mal Jeewan agreed with the delegation’s concerns and praised the young leadership of the Meghwar community, assuring that he would raise their issues in the Sindh Assembly.
In Hyderabad, at an event organized by Sanatan City, Dadan Arshi was honored with an award in recognition of his political and social services. Additionally, Santurai Enterprises acknowledged the naming of roads in Sanatan City after five prominent political, social, and educational figures of Northern Sindh: Arjun Das Advocate, educationist Sachanand Pano, Mukhia Babu Hardas, Kalawanti Raja, and Amit Kumar Councillor.
Later, in a meeting with senior Meghwar leader Surendar Valasai at Bilawal House Karachi, discussions were held regarding the community’s longstanding support for the PPP and their pressing issues. In response, Surendar Valasai reassured the delegation that the PPP has always worked for minorities and human welfare and that the issues of the Meghwar community would be addressed on a priority basis.
Following this, another meeting took place at Lund House Karachi with Mir Babar Ali Khan Lund, where discussions revolved around the challenges faced by the Meghwar community. Mir Babar Ali Khan Lund appreciated the unity within the community and announced that in upcoming development schemes, basic facilities, roads, and other projects for the Meghwar community would be included.
This visit was a significant step in strengthening the Meghwar Panchayat’s political alliances and highlighting the community’s issues. Moving forward, the Panchayat will actively monitor the implementation of these commitments, mobilize the youth, and advocate for inclusive policies to ensure the community’s development at all levels.
