Swabi: Feb 28. In a decisive move to regulate meat prices ahead of Ramadan, Assistant Commissioner Swabi, Ms. Nusrat Bibi, launched a crackdown on butchers and shopkeepers involved in price gouging.

During the operation, heavy fines were imposed on the spot for profiteering and violation of official price lists. The initiative aims to ensure that the public receives essential commodities at fair and regulated rates during the holy month.

Ms. Nusrat reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strict action against price manipulators, warning that no one would be allowed to exploit consumers. She emphasized that a robust strategy will be enforced throughout Ramadan to curb inflation and provide maximum relief to the public.
