Balochistan Governor Vows to Address Quetta’s Long-Standing Issues
Quetta, March 03. The capital of Balochistan, is home to nearly half of the province’s population, but it has been neglected in terms of government jobs, particularly in the medical and engineering sectors. The governor of Balochistan has taken notice of this disparity and has pledged to address the city’s long-standing issues.
The governor has tasked Zar Khan Mandokhail, a member of the provincial assembly, with bringing together all stakeholders, including citizens, civil society, and media activists, to find immediate solutions to Quetta’s problems. This includes addressing the city’s crumbling infrastructure, particularly its roads, +healthcare and sanitation services, traffic, and sewage systems.
The governor’s efforts are aimed at providing Quetta with a more equitable share of resources and opportunities, given its significance as the provincial capital and largest city in Balochistan.
