ANF Cracks Down on Drug Smuggling: 15 Arrested, Rs. 24 Million Worth of Narcotics Seized

Islamabad. Mar.04. In a nationwide crackdown, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted eight operations across various cities in Pakistan, arresting 15 suspects and seizing approximately 185 kilograms of narcotics worth Rs. 24 million.

The operations were carried out in Islamabad, Karachi, Sialkot, and Sukkur, targeting drug smugglers and peddlers. The seized narcotics include heroin, opium, charas, and ice.

In one operation near the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, ANF officials intercepted a Suzuki pickup truck and recovered 5.5 kilograms of heroin and 1.5 kilograms of ice, arresting two suspects.

In another operation near the same location, ANF officials seized 2.4 kilograms of opium and 2.4 kilograms of charas from a car, arresting two suspects.

Further operations were conducted in Sialkot, Karachi, and Sukkur, resulting in the seizure of additional narcotics and the arrest of more suspects.

The ANF’s crackdown on drug smuggling is part of its efforts to curb the illegal drug trade in Pakistan and ensure public safety.
