Four shops sealed; 26 shopkeepers arrested during price control operation: DC Quetta

QUETTA:The price control operation is continued all over Quetta district, on direction of the higher authorities.
According to Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Saad bin Asad, during the price control operation, in all 108 shops were inspected in different localities of Quetta the other day.
As many as four shops were sealed while 26 shopkeepers were arrested on charges of fleecing the consumers and that on violation of the official price list.
In all 25 shopkeepers were also charged fine during the price control operation in Quetta, the Deputy Commissioner mentioned adding that warning was issued to some 40 shopkeepers.
The DC Quetta has warned the shopkeepers to strictly follow the official price list, otherwise stern action would be taken.
It may be mentioned here that the Chief Secretary Balochistan had issued standing directives to the district administrations all over the province to ensure price control in their respective areas.
