Provincial APEX committee meets in Quetta: No stone to be left upturned for ensuring protection of life & property of general public, asserts Chief Minister Bugti
QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has categorically stated that all institutions are on one page for establishing peace in the province, and adding he asserted that no stone would be left upturned for ensuring protection of life and property of the people.
The Chief Minister was chairing a meeting of the Provincial APEX committee here at the CM’s secretariat on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by the Commander Balochistan Corps, Lt. General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Inspector General of Police, Moazzam Jah Ansari and other concerned high ups.
The meeting discussed the overall law and order situation in the province, anti-terrorism initiatives and performance of the security forces.
During the course of meeting, implementation on the decisions made in the meetings of previous provincial Apex committees was also reviewed. Besides, the meeting laid emphasis on taking tougher measures and making intelligence sharing more effective for eradication of terrorism from the province.
In addition to this, the matters about border management, prevention of smuggling and steps taken under the National Action Plan were also discussed.
The higher authorities were agreed upon that the close coordination is necessary among the security forces and civil administration for establishing sustainable peace in the province.
While issuing directives for speedy implementation on the decisions made in the decisions, the Chief Minister vowed that the government would take every possible steps for protection of the life and property of public and ensuring continuity of the development projects in the province.
