Crackdown on Hoarders and Profiteers: Complaint Centers Established in Sanghar
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Secretary of the Consumer Protection Bureau of Supply and Price Control, Syed Sajjad Shabbir, has announced the establishment of complaint centers in every taluka of the district to take action against profiteers and those selling expired goods. He stated that, in collaboration with the district administration, expired items were confiscated and destroyed in front of the media.
He further mentioned that Provincial Minister for Supply Bureau, Muhammad Usman Hingoro, and Director General Shakir Qayyum Khanzada have issued strict directives to curb hoarding and profiteering, emphasizing that legal action will be taken against those involved.
“Our inspectors are in close coordination with assistant commissioners and conduct daily market visits to monitor prices and ensure compliance,” said Syed Sajjad Shabbir.
Additionally, Provincial Minister Muhammad Usman Hingoro has announced that he will personally visit different areas across Sindh during the holy month of Ramadan to ensure strict action against hoarders and profiteers, aiming to provide maximum relief to the public.
During a market inspection, officials including Abdul Hafeez Yousafzai and other inspectors were also present.
