Putting agriculture sector on modern lines included in top priority: Mir Ali Hasan Zehri

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Cooperative, Mir Ali Hasan Zehri has stated that it is included in our top priorities to put the agriculture sector on modern lines in the province.
He said that agriculture sector has backbone status in development and prosperity of the province.
The Provincial Minister was addressing departmental review meeting here on Wednesday. The Secretary Agriculture and Cooperative, Noor Ahmed Pirkani, Director Generals of Agriculture and Cooperative departments and other high ups were also in attendance.
Mir Ali Hasan Zehri was briefed about the overall performance and functioning of the department.
The Secretary Agriculture also informed the Provincial Minister about certain initiatives taken for development of the agriculture sector.
Addressing the meeting, Mir Ali Hasan Zehri stressed that development of agriculture is important for economic development of the province. So, if we have to develop economy of the province, then we need to work for development of agriculture sector, he added.
He said that every individual of the province is associated with the agriculture directly or indirectly. If there agriculture sector progresses, then it would help prosper the growers of the province, he believed.
He also stressed that it is necessary to make agriculture sector fully effective to help province stand on its feet economically.
For this purpose, we have to put the sector on modern lines meeting the requirements of present era, he added.
He on the occasion directed to remove hurdles in way of development of agriculture sector in the province.
