WDD actively working on policy making to empower women, says Advisor to CM
QUETTA: An important meeting of the Women Development Department was held under presidentship of the Advisor to Chief Minister for the Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi here on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on the annual progress report, departmental challenges, and future strategies. Meeting was attended by Women Development Department Secretary Saira Ata, Additional Secretary, Secretariat, Directorate staff, and Crisis Centers’ personnel.
While addressing the meeting, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi stated that the Women Development Department is actively working not only on policy-making but also through practical measures to empower women.
She further mentioned that Crisis Centers are being made more effective to ensure immediate assistance and legal support for women. Additionally, various projects are under consideration to enhance economic independence opportunities for women.
Discussing departmental challenges, the Advisor for Women Development emphasized that despite multiple obstacles, the Government of Balochistan is prioritizing women’s development. All institutions and relevant staff are working together to devise effective strategies to address these issues.
She instructed the meeting participants to accelerate the implementation of projects aimed at protecting women’s rights and their development, ensuring the involvement of all stakeholders in the process. Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi reaffirmed that the Women Development Department would take all possible steps to address women’s issues and utilize the resources provided by the government in the most effective manner.
