According to the details, during the month of Ramadan, the power outage in Makin, Ladha, Kanigaram, Sararogha, Kot Kai, Sarvekai, South Waziristan has caused severe problems to the people. The non-supply of electricity especially during the hours of Suhoor and Iftar has added to the problems of the fasting people.
According to the residents of the area, there has been an increase in unannounced load shedding since the beginning of Ramadan. In some areas, electricity remains missing for 22 hours, due to which fasting people are facing serious difficulties in preparing for Suhoor and Iftar.
While ordinary citizens are suffering due to prolonged power outages, the business community is also being severely affected. Especially hotels, bakeries, and other businesses that depend on electricity are suffering huge losses. According to local shopkeepers, freezers and cooling systems are not working due to lack of electricity, causing food items to spoil.
The people of South Waziristan have appealed to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and concerned authorities to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure uninterrupted power supply during Ramadan so that the fasting people do not face any more hardships.
