Anti-Narcotics Force Cracks Down on Drug Smuggling
Islamabad. Mar. 06. In a significant blow to drug smugglers, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested eight suspects, including a Nigerian national and a woman, in seven operations across the country. The crackdown resulted in the seizure of 406.98 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs. 38.1 million.

The ANF’s efforts focused on educational institutions, where they arrested a suspect in Mansehra for selling drugs to students. The suspect was found with 450 grams of charas near a college ¹.
Other notable operations included:
– Lahore Airport: 35 cocaine-filled capsules were recovered from a Nigerian national arriving from Bahrain.
– Pishin, Balochistan: 360 kilograms of charas were seized from an abandoned area.
– Peshawar: 21.6 kilograms of charas were recovered from a car’s secret compartments, and two suspects were arrested.
– M-1 Motorway, Islamabad: A woman was arrested with 4.8 kilograms of opium and 7.2 kilograms of charas.
-: A second operation resulted in the seizure of 8.4 kilograms of charas from a car, and two suspects were arrested.
– and in other case*: A passenger bus was searched, leading to the arrest of a suspect with 2.4 kilograms of charas.
