Asad Qasim returned uncontested to Senate from Balochistan against general seat
QUETTA: The independent candidate, Asad Qasim has been returned uncontested to Senate of Pakistan from Balochistan against the general category seat.
This was announced in an official notification issued here by the Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday.
According to the notification, Asad Qasim has been elected uncontested to the Senate of Pakistan from Balochistan against general seat, which fell vacant upon resignation tendered by ex-Senator Muhammad Qasim for the remaining term of office which will expire on March 11, 2027.
It may be mentioned here that no other candidate had filed nomination papers against Asad Qasim for election against the general seat of Senate.
Asad Qasi belongs to Lasbela and son of Muhammad Qasim.
