Quetta (March 6, 2025): The Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for the Women Development Department, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, has emphasized the need for practical measures to rehabilitate female prisoners and bring positive changes in their lives. She stated that providing basic facilities, psychological support, skill development, business training, professional education, healthcare, and career counseling to female inmates is essential.She expressed these views during a meeting with IG Prisons Malik Shujauddin Kasi and Secretary Women Development Saira Atta. The meeting also discussed signing an MoU regarding the provision of facilities for female prisoners.Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi stated that the Government of Balochistan is taking all possible steps for the welfare of female prisoners and is introducing sustainable reform policies in this regard. She further added that societal development requires equal opportunities for all segments of society, and a comprehensive strategy must be adopted to transform incarcerated women into productive members of society.She also emphasized that rehabilitation programs for female prisoners will be made more effective to ensure they can lead a dignified life after their release
