CS inaugurates tree plantation campaign
QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan inaugurated the tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling in Civil Secretariat on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary said that planting a tree is sadqa-e-jaria and as such every individual of the society should plant maximum trees.
He also stressed that there is a need to create awareness among general public regarding tree plantation so that they may actively take part in the campaign and make the province greener and cleaner.
He also stressed to select the environment friendly plants for tree plantation which suits the climate of province. He stressed that we have to ensure spread of forests and protection of trees using environment and natural resources.
He said that tree plantation is a step forward towards materializing the dream of environment protection and green Balochistan.
