Anti-Narcotics Force Launches Nationwide Crackdown, Arrests 7 Suspects. Independent Report.

Islamabad, Mar 7: In a significant blow to narcotics smuggling networks, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted six operations across Pakistan, resulting in the arrest of seven suspects and the seizure of 43.525 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs. 58 million.

The ANF’s efforts led to notable seizures, including:

– Lahore Courier Office: 325 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel destined for New Zealand.
– Rawalpindi: 14.4 kilograms of charas were seized from two women.
– Islamabad: 16.8 kilograms of charas were found hidden in a car’s secret compartments, and two Afghan nationals were arrested.
– M-1 Motorway, Islamabad: Six kilograms of charas were recovered from a suspect’s luggage.
– Faizpur Interchange, Sheikhupura: Five kilograms of ice were seized from a car, and the suspect was arrested.
– Lahore’s Babu Sabu Chowk: One kilogram of ice was found hidden in a suspect’s bag.

The ANF has registered cases against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act and has initiated further investigations ¹.
