Effective policing necessary to achieve goal of peaceful Balochistan: Responsibilities of Govt increased in view of tense situation in region, insists Governor
QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stressed that responsibilities of the government has been increased in view of tense situation in the situation that it should take steps for maintaining environment of peace and protection of life and property of the people.
He said that it is necessary to take prevailing sensitivity seriously and move towards sustainable solution just because a peaceful society can progress and prosper in real terms.
The Governor was speaking to the Inspector General of Police, Moazzam Jah Ansari during meeting here at the Governor House on Friday.
During the meeting, Special Secretary Home, Abdul Nasir Dotani, Deputy Inspector General of police, Aitezaz Goraya and Principal Secretary to Governor, Hashim Khan Ghilzai.
The Governor on the occasion said that crimes and terrorism are two different things, and different methodology needs to cope with them.
He stressed that effective policing is very necessary for achieving objective of the peaceful Balochistan.
This objective can be achieved through wholehearted cooperation of the masses, he added.
He said that there is key role of national highways in development and construction of the country.
He said that the national highways, which are otherwise very necessary for general public, transportation, passengers and patients, are required to keep open for facilitation of every kind of movement.
He exhorted the political elders, civil society and media persons to play role of their part for the sake of peaceful Balochistan.
He said that a more peaceful and prosperous province can be ensured if government and people work together.
