Dream of national prosperity & development can be materialized by ensuring women participation: Governor

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has state that the dream of national prosperity and development can be materialized by ensuring wholehearted participation and involvement of women in the political as well as economic and social activities.
He said that it is welcoming that women are highly respected in our society and any violence against them is considered to be violation of national values.
However, mostly the women are to face hurdles like of poverty and lack of opportunities despite their immense capabilities.
These and similar other views were expressed by the Governor Balochistan in a message issued here on eve of the World Women Day observed on Saturday.
In his message, Governor said that economic empowerment of women is an important source of polishing their capabilities and securing other rights.
He said that no nation can progress in real terms until and unless the women stand shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts.
The Governor also said that I’m today’s world, it is widely acclaimed all over the world that women and men have equal part in the socio-economic development.
He said that it is encouraging that the marked increase has been witnessed in the proportion of educated women in the rural areas and admission of the women in universities of the province.
He stressed the need to keep on the pace by launching public awareness campaign for promotion of the social protection of the women besides economically empowering them.
He said that it is our collective national duty to provide social protection to the women and pave way for the real social development.
