Summary sent to cabinet for approval: Govt prepares plan for Women Endowment Fund: Secretary Women Development Dept.

“Women of Balochistan to be provided interest-free soft term loans for doing their own business under Endowment Fund”

QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has prepared plan for establishing Endowment Fund for increasing income of women of the province.
This was informed by the Secretary Women Development, Saira Ata while speaking to a section of media here the other day.
The Secretary Women Development said that the measures are being taken for empowering women of the province, and this is why, the government has decided to set up an Endowment Fund for increasing income of the women.
Under the Endowment Fund, the women would be provided interest-free soft term loans for doing their own business.
In addition to this, the women would also be imparted professional training in livestock, agriculture and handicraft sectors, the Secretary Women Development added.
She also informed that the summary about establishment of the Endowment Fund has been sent to the provincial cabinet for approval.
While on the other hand, the second and third phase of the Internship Programme is being started for the female graduates of province, she added.
Moreover, the Women Development Department and Prisons Department are going to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for providing facilities to the women prisoners in the prisons.
The Secretary Women Development said that three crisis centers have been established for the needy women while three more are being set up in the province.
