Train service for interior country still suspended: Quetta-Chaman Passenger train service restored after four days of suspension
Repair of damaged railway track in Mushkaf area of Kachhi started
QUETTA: The train service for Chaman from Quetta has been restored after four days of suspension on Sunday.
According to the sources of Pakistan Railways, the Chaman Passenger train resumed operation from Quetta on Sunday morning when it left from the Quetta Railway Station carrying over 30 passengers.
While the Chaman Passenger has been restored for the border town, the train service for interior country from Quetta is still suspended.
The train service i.e., Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail was terminated for Peshawar and Karachi respectively after the terrorists attack at the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express on March 11.
According to the railway authorities, the train service for interior country would be restored after the repair and rehabilitation of the railway track damaged during the terrorists’ attack in Mushkaf area of Kacchi district.
The sources said that the necessary repair work on the damaged railway track has been started on Sunday.
