Karachi (17th March): A grand fifteenth Ittihad-e-Ramzan Iftar Dinner was held at Governor House, attended by thousands of people, including women, children, and the elderly. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Na’at, and a sermon by Maulana Imran Bashir. In honor of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hassan رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ, sweets were also distributed among the attendees.
Addressing the participants, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori reaffirmed the nation’s trust in the Pakistan Armed Forces, stating that terrorism will be eradicated from its roots. He expressed condolences to the families of martyrs in the suicide attack on the Nushki-Dalbandin highway. He further emphasized that he will not rest until every young person is self-reliant and essential utilities such as water, electricity, and gas reach every household.
Reiterating his commitment to public service, he urged all institutions to serve the people just as Governor House remains open 24/7 for them. During the event, he invited children dressed in military uniforms onto the stage and presented them with prizes.
A lucky draw was also held during the ceremony, in which several fortunate individuals received prizes. An Umrah ticket was awarded to Adeeha Naeemuddin from Korangi, while journalist Syed Abrar Ali won a motorcycle. A 120 square yard plot in Smart City was allotted to Ameer Ali from Tharparkar. Additionally, the plot file of a previously won prize was officially handed over to Tahir Hussain from Sukkur.
