“ANF Launches Nationwide Crackdown on Drug Smuggling, Arrests 7 Suspects”

In a series of coordinated operations across Pakistan, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized over 125 kilograms of narcotics worth approximately Rs. 2.8 million, arresting 7 suspects, including an Afghan national.
The ANF conducted five separate raids in different cities, resulting in the confiscation of:
– 3.5 kilograms of heroin and the arrest of 4 suspects near the Turkey Toll Plaza in Sowah
– 30 kilograms of opium and 6 kilograms of charas from a Suzuki pickup truck near the Sahianwala Motorway Interchange, with the arrest of an Afghan national
– 1.8 kilograms of opium from a car near Sialkot’s Pasrur Road, with the arrest of one suspect
– 12 kilograms of charas from a rickshaw near Yarochowk, Pishin, with the arrest of one suspect
– 72 kilograms of charas from a car near Jamil Chowk on Peshawar’s Ring Road
The ANF has registered cases against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act and initiated investigations ¹.
