Dr. Shehbaz Ali Malik Elected as Chairman of Pak-Africa Economic Council
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) In a significant development aimed at boosting trade ties between Pakistan and Africa, Dr. Shehbaz Ali Malik, Managing Director of Popular Group of Industries, has been elected as the Chairman of the Pak-Africa Economic Council.
The installation ceremony of the council was held at the Popular Farm House in Tando Adam, where prominent personalities from various sectors gathered. The chief guest, Director General of Pakistan Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Ali Sarohi, along with other distinguished guests, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Shehbaz Ali Malik and Malik Zulfiqar Ali Roshan. As a gesture of Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, the guests were presented with traditional Sindhi caps and Ajraks.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ahmad Ali Sarohi emphasized the growing trade opportunities between Pakistan and Africa. He highlighted that Africa holds vast potential for Pakistani exports, and the Pak-Africa Economic Council is dedicated to transforming these opportunities into reality.
In his speech, Dr. Shehbaz Ali Malik expressed his commitment to strengthening economic ties with Africa, stating that the rapidly developing African markets can become a vital trade partner for Pakistan. He stressed the importance of increasing Pakistani exports to Africa while encouraging investment and joint business ventures from African countries, which he believes will significantly benefit Pakistan’s economy.
The event was attended by prominent traders, doctors, and social and political figures from Tando Adam city. On this occasion, Dr. Shehbaz Ali Malik was congratulated on his appointment as Chairman of the Pak-Africa Economic Council.
