Fostering commercial & economic activities can help eradicate poverty from Balochistan: Bilal Kakar

 

QUETTA: The Vice Chairman of Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT) Bilal Khan Kakar has stated that fostering commercial and economic activities in Balochistan can help eradicate poverty from the province.
He emphasized that it is not possible to provide government sector jobs to every young individual; however, by promoting trade and business activities, employment opportunities can be created, leading to economic stability.
In a statement, he mentioned that providing jobs to the youth would encourage them to engage in positive activities. The private sector must also generate business and employment opportunities for young people. Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, is making efforts in this regard, and for the first time in the province’s history, 30,000 youth are being sent abroad for technical training. Additionally, a target has been set to create 100,000 jobs through commercial activities, and every effort is being made to achieve this goal in the coming days.He further highlighted that the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT) is committed to promoting investment and trade in the province. Its mission is to enhance overall competitiveness and improve the ease of doing business, positioning Balochistan as an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign investors.To encourage investment, various sectors such as mining, renewable energy, oil and gas exploration, fisheries, food processing, logistics, coastal development, and tourism are being prioritized. He stressed the need to leverage Balochistan’s strategic location and abundant natural resources to drive economic and sustainable development.
