Pays rich tributes to security forces on quick response: Balochistan cabinet condemns terrorism incidents of Jaffar Express & Noshki bus
Provincial cabinet expresses concern over target killing of religious leaders; resolve to eliminate elements involved in incidents with support of people; exempts CM Youth Skills Development Programme from Balochistan Sales Tax; directs to dispose of process of recruitment in Education Dept. on merit; approves Women Economic Empowerment Endowment Fund Utilization Policy
QUETTA: While strongly condemned the recent incidents of terrorism targeting Jaffar Express and a bus in Noshki, the Balochistan cabinet has paid rich tributes to the security forces on timely and quick response in these incidents of terrorism.
The Balochistan cabinet which met with Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti in the chair said that the security forces saved the province from big disaster by carrying out immediate operation.
The cabinet also paid homage to the brave soldiers of the security forces martyred in the incidents of terrorism and offered fateha for their departed souls.
The provincial cabinet also expressed deep concern over target killing of the religious leaders and resolve to eliminate terrorist elements involved in the incidents together with the people of province.
There was consensus in the meeting that the provincial cabinet and people are standing by their security forces in the war against terrorism.
Meanwhile, the cabinet made certain important decisions in the meeting. The cabinet exempted the CM Youth Development Programme from the Balochistan Sales Tax.
In addition to this, the provincial cabinet allowed sale of the stored wheat in the open market, on recommendations of the special committee.
Similarly, the cabinet approved Balochistan Women Economic Empowerment Endowment Fund Utilization Policy. Under the policy, interest-free loans would be provided for provision of the opportunities of economic empowerment and development to the women, as informed to the cabinet.
Besides, the cabinet approved amendments in the law of protection of women from harassment at the workplaces.
The cabinet also approved to change the names of Golimar chowk and Kachra road and decided to name them after as Shaheed Zakir Baloch chowk and S.R. Poonigar road.
Moreover, the cabinet directed to dispose of recruitment in Education department on merit. The cabinet decided that all the recruitment would be made on contract for 18 months purely on merit, however, the duration of contract would be extended on basis of performance.
