No decision to restore train service for interior country yet: Repair and maintenance of damaged boogies of terror- hit Jaffar Express starts

QUETTA: The repair and maintenance of the boogies of Jaffar Express, which had come under terrorists attack on March 11 in Mushkaf area of Kachhi district, has been started here on Wednesday.
According to the sources of Pakistan railways, the repair and maintenance of the damaged boogies has been started at the Loco shed section of Quetta Railway Station.
The damaged boogies were brought to Quetta Railway Station from the spot on Tuesday. The sources said that at least five boogies of Jaffar Express were damaged in the terrorism incident occurred on March 11 in the Mushkaf area of Bolan pass.
The sources said that the bullets and explosive material had hit the parts of passenger coaches besides causing damages to the locomotive of the train.
While the locomotive was shifted to Sibi Railway Station a couple of days before, the damaged boogies were brought to Quetta the other day.
The sources said that the train service would be restored once the work of repair and maintenance of the damaged boogies is completed.
It has not been decided yet as to when the train service would resume for interior parts of country, although the railway track has already been repaired and restored.
Needless to mention here that the Jaffar Express was made hostage by armed terrorists after the attack on it on March 11 in Mushkaf area.
Some 30 passengers were killed and some others got injured during the attack.
