BA adopts resolutions regarding launch of scholarship prog for students of Madaris, representation of minorities in BPSC
CM apologizes on absence of Provincial Ministers during question hour
QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly adopted resolutions about the launch of scholarship programme for the male and female students of the Madaris (religious seminaries) and giving representation to the minorities in the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) and other commissions, here in its session on Thursday.
The session of provincial assembly resumed with the Deputy Speaker, Ms. Ghazala Gola in the chair.
The resolution about launch of the scholarship programme for the students of Madaris was tabled by the member of provincial assembly belonging to JUI, Syed Zafar Agha while the other resolution regarding representation of minorities in the commission including BPSC was tabled by the parliamentary secretary for Minorities Affairs, Sanjay Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti made assurance for implementation on the resolution.
Meanwhile, a call attention notice was tabled by the MPA Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch. The call attention notice was regarding rights of the fishermen and legislation.
The Chief Minister said that the steps are being taken for giving rights to the fishermen of province.
He said that we are giving one time exemption for registration of the unregistered boats.
He also assured to speak to the federal government after approving a resolution regarding sea jurisdictions of the province.
Earlier, the question hour about agriculture department was adjourned due to absence of the concerned Provincial Minister.
As the leader of opposition in assembly, Mir Younas Aziz Zehri raised point of absence of the Provincial Ministers during the question hour, the Chief Minister tendered apology on it and assured that the Ministers would give answers to the questions in future coming in the House.
Later, the session was adjourned for an indefinite period.
