Repatriation of Afghan refugees to their homeland top priority of government: DC Chaghai
QUETTA: The repatriation of Afghan refugees to their homeland on voluntary basis is top priority of the government, and it would be ensured anyway.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner Chaghai, Attaul Munim while presiding over a meeting about the repatriation of Afghan refugees, here the other day.
The meeting discussed the matters about repatriation of the refugees including administrative course of action, post-deadline action and report of the law enforcement agencies regarding the matter.
There was detailed discussion on the related matters and issues.
Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner directed to all concerned officers to perform their responsibilities in befitting manner so as to complete the task of repatriation successfully.
He insisted that it is top priority of the government to send the refugees back to their homeland and during the process, the principles of humanity would be kept in view.
The Deputy Commissioner asserted that the process of forced repatriation of the Afghan refugees would be ensured after March 31, 2025.
