ISLAMABAD, Mar 22 (APP): Minister of State for Religious Affairs Khail Das Kohistani announced on Saturday that the government will implement robust measures to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and will no longer tolerate PTI’s malicious social media campaigns, now termed ‘Digital terrorism.
Khail Das Kohistani in an interview on a private news channel said the PTI has adopted negative narratives and is backing social media tactics termed ‘Digital terrorism’ to harm Pakistan’s stability and sovereignty, where zero tolerance will be shown.
He further stated that the federal government will take every aggressive step under the law and constitution for the protection of the country.
The minister of state also expressed his serious concerns about PTI’s response to the Jaffar Express incident.
According to him, no PTI member attended the meeting regarding the incident and their founder failed to condemn the attack. Instead, they allegedly promoted enemy narratives on social media.

Das Kohistani said PTI played an irresponsible role following the Jaffar Express incident, noting that even Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman was surprised by PTI’s absence from a meeting regarding the incident.
The Minister also expressed concern over KPK’s worsening terrorism situation, blaming PTI’s reluctance to support security operations.
Kohistani emphasized the need for national unity and cooperation to combat the growing threat of terrorism, expressing concerns that PTI’s social media campaigns are instead causing harm.
He stressed that this menace requires a collective effort to fight against, but PTI’s actions are undermining this unity.
Responding to a query about the opposition’s plans to protest after Eid, Minister Khail Das stated that while the government will allow protests under the constitution, they will not tolerate attempts to create anarchy or destabilize the country and will take firm action against such groups.
